Karl Byrd

Vice-President Karl Byrd is a Ballew Wealth Management shareholder and one of its four senior partners. He brings more than forty years of experience in wealth management services to his clients. 

Karl specializes in a process called Life Path Planning and provides investment advisory services and retirement plan management. Prior to joining Ballew Wealth Management in 1988, Karl provided management consulting service to the health care industry and financial planning to business owners, professionals and individuals. 

Karl was an honors scholar in business management at Mississippi State University. 

In 1987, Karl earned the distinction of Certified Financial Planner (CFP™), placing him among the first 10,000 CFP™s in the nation. He also holds Series 7, 24 and 63 securities licenses and is a registered principal with FINRA.  

Karl is actively involved in a number of professional organizations and is a past president of the Financial Planning Association of Mississippi. He currently serves on the Estate Gift Planning Advisory Board for Baptist Health Foundation. Karl is also involved in the music ministry of First Baptist Church, where he also serves as a Deacon. He enjoys spending time with his wife of 42 years, two sons and daughters-in-law, and five wonderful grandchildren. Karl also enjoys playing guitar, hunting, fishing, and playing golf with friends.
